How to make your own Body Scrub?
Mix 2 parts of sugar (white sugar, brown sugar, or coconut sugar) or cinnamon or sea salt + 1 part of a natural oil (coconut oil or olive oil) + optional: a few drops of an essential oil to help with a skin condition, like acne (Tea tree essential oil).
To be more natural and nourishing possible, the ingredients should be preferably organic and the oils, also, cold pressed and extra virgin.
How to Body Scrub
Don't scrub if your skin is recently waxed, shaved or sunburned. The skin is very sensitive and irritated. scrubbing will just make it worst. Wait until is healed.
1- Wet your body in the shower, preferably with warm water, to open the pores.
2 - With your hand or a bath glove, apply the body scrub and gently massage, the skin, in circular motions.
3 - Rinse off with cold water. You may want to try contrast shower.
It will exfoliate, but also moisturize the skin, because of the oil. So, there's no need for moisturizer cream after the shower.
Don't scrub daily, it can irritate the skin. Twice a week should be enough.
